6 THINGS TO DO THE NIGHT BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

6 THINGS TO DO THE NIGHT BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

One more day to wedded bliss!

The hours leading up to your wedding should be totally serene—and they will be, if you take care of these six things the day before!

1) Lay out your Belle Mariee "getting ready" robe

You don't need a rhinestone-encrusted TEAM BRIDE sweatsuit, but put some thought into your outfit. Since you'll be likely be photographed from the moment you wake up (by your mom, your 'maids, and eventually your pro photographer) you probably won't want to throw on an old sorority mixer T-shirt with baggy gym shorts. So luckily you already have your official "getting ready" robe!

2) Round up your day-of essentials in a clutch.

You won't need much on your wedding day, but it's smart to fill a clutch with some "just-in-case" items: a mini deodorant, gum, tissues, and a list of your vendors' phone numbers. If you plan on switching to flip-flops during the reception, toss those in there as well.

3) Pack all your accessories in one bag.

Have everything in one place so you're not scrambling to find an earring or a hairpin the morning of. This includes your day-of clutch (see above), jewellery, shoes, undergarments, and hair accessories. Leave your accessories bag next to your wedding dress. {*You know where that is, right?! *}

4) Hand over your cell phone to your MoH.

After the rehearsal dinner, let your MoH screen your calls. She can field questions from your great-aunt who can't find the hotel and the co-worker who wants to know what time the wedding starts. If there are vendor calls that don't require your immediate attention (the caterer wants to know where the table numbers are, the DJ wants to talk to someone at the reception site) ask your mom to deal with them, assuming she's nearby.*

5) Give the vendors' tips to one of parents

Even if you want to thank your vendors in person, you don't want to have to keep tabs on envelopes of cash while you're getting ready. Ask your mom to tuck the vendors' tips in her handbag or your dad to stow them in his suit pocket. If you run out of time on your wedding day, ask them to hand out the tips on your behalf.

6) Write a love note to your groom.

Give the best man a note to slip to your groom right before the ceremony. The note can either be sexy ("Here's what we're going to do after the after-party…") or sweet ("I can't WAIT to be your wife!"), but either way, it will get your guy even more excited to meet you at the end of the aisle!
